Principal’s message
Tomorrow we will be sending home the first formal report card of your students school year. This
report card is an informative “assessment” of your child’s progress from September to date.
Here are a few suggestions that can help you discuss our child’s report card with them.
When you first receive your child’s report card, make a time where you will sit down with your child
to review the contents; When you look through the report card ask questions about what they have learned. Lastly, look at the rating for your child’s achievement. This might be a letter grade or
a phrase like ‘approaching expectations’. Ask your child how they feel about their achievements this term and this can be followed by asking what their goals are for the upcoming term. If you have
any questions about your child’s report card, please do not hesitate to contact their teacher or drop
by the office any time.
It has been a please to work and watch your children grow this term and I look forward to seeing
their academic and personal growth in the new year.
