Principal’s message
As Spring Break approaches, it is once again report cards time. You should be receiving your student’s report card this Wednesday. We have seen some tremendous progress during our second term and are excited to share their learning journeys with you at home. Here are a few things to think about as you read through, reports are a snapshot in time showing your child’s progress and we still have 3 more moths of school before the end of the year; read the report carefully as teachers spend a great deal of time preparing each report and there is a lot of information to distill; and please remember it’s not all about the grade and progress takes on many forms. The comment sections are rich with information about your child that gives you insight into your child’s achievement or performance in areas such as Social Responsibility or Work Habits. You will see one additional portion on the reports cards to give you some reference points to compare your child’s attendance and number of late arrivals. If you have any questions about these reports, you are always welcome to contact to the school to speak to the teacher or talk to me or our Vice-Principal, Katie Simmonds. But first, Take a look at the report card, celebrate the wonderful learning that has taken place this term, pin it to the fridge for future reference, and have a great March Break!
